Business owners were shocked to discover their water meters missing on Friday morning when they came in to work.
“I checked and discovered that mine was not the only one gone. The
entire block was missing water meters,” Tang said, adding that a quick
count showed about 100 meters missing.
Vauto Supply Sdn Bhd owner Kee Oi Teik said he made a police report in
the morning and paid a visit to the Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn
Bhd (Syabas) to pay for a new meter.
“Looks like I have to buy an extra lock to ensure the meter doesn’t get stolen again,” he said.
However, those who had plastic meters were spared.
