I would like to extend my
disappoinment on the article in the Star Newspaper today, 24 th June
2006 pertaining to the opening of the Link Road to Bandar Kinrara.
I’m sad and in disbelief with
the comment from the Residents of Bandar Kinara on the reason why they did not
agree with the opening. They mentioned about the Interchange, when I personally
told our Dato’ Yang DiPertua MPSJ in the meeting in May 2006, that the reason
why we need the link road open immediately, is because we need to
close the Roller Coaster so as to enable us to complete the Access Road from Sg
Besi – Puchong Highway within three months as personally promised by Tan Sri
Chan Ah Chai of Talam Corporation.
As we all know the Interchange will be built
by DBKL and Ho Hup Corporation with the contribution of Slip Road to Kuala
Lumpur by Talam Corporation as the Developer of Taman Puncak Jalil. We can only
convince DBKL on the building of the Interchange once the Access Road from Sg
Besi – Puchong Highway is ready.
As for traffic congestion, from
my own observation, happens during rush hour from 6.30 am – 8.30 am, and this
can be resolved by putting enforcement officer at critical traffic lights as
promised by Dato’ Yang DiPertua MPSJ.
We hope the Full – Board MPSJ
Council Meeting which will be held on 28th June 2006, can decide
favourably with just, as the question here is, who needs help most, now? The
residents of Taman Puncak Jalil who are going through consistent fear when using
the Roller Coaster Road, or the residents of Bandar Kinrara who are only
concerned about the would – be traffic congestion when we use their road. My
last question is, where in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya you don’t face traffic
congestion….?
