PKNS and two other firms fined for illegal clearing of land |

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Development Corporation (PKNS) and two other companies were fined a total of RM840, 000 by the Sessions Court here Friday after their representatives pleaded guilty to clearing of three parcels of land near the Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam Agriculture Park illegally.
PKNS, a state government subsidiary, was slapped with the highest fine of RM330, 000, while Restu Mantap Sdn Bhd was fined RM280, 000. The third firm, Dacing Kota Sdn Bhd, was fined RM230, 000. PKNS and Restu Mantap were also fined RM30,000 each for carrying out earth levelling work without permission. A representative of another development firm, Green Hillview Sdn Bhd, pleaded not guilty.
