RUBBISH DUMP: Smell that just won't go away PDF Print E-mail

In 1999, we bought a two-storey terrace house in Taman Putra Permai, phase one.

The house is just a stone's throw away from the dump-site which receives rubbish from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. We were told the dump- site would be closed by 2003.

We waited patiently, trying to bear with the stench which stays even though we shut all the windows and doors, and switch on the air-conditioner.

Despite an announcement it would be closed in 2004, it remains open.

Now, the rubbish is higher than the five-storey flats located right in front of it.

How much longer do we have to live with this nightmare?

Please, close down the dump-site and find a more suitable site elsewhere, far from housing estates.
